The company smartGAS Mikrosensorik GmbH was founded in 2005 by Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wiegleb, Dipl.-Ing. Christian Stein and Dipl.-Ing. Volker Huelsekopf. From the first day the IR absorption technology offered the perfect technological basis for the development of reliable and precise gas sensors in a wide field of applications.
With the investment of the ZFHN in 2007 and the move to Heilbronn in the same year the fundament for enduring growth and new innovations was layed. Besides the consequent expansion of the customer base and the improving of the product spectrum several successful development projects were done with different customers in 2008 and 2009.
During these years the philosophy did not change and will be the guarantee for success furthermore:
The sensors must fit the application and not the other way round.
By the refusing standard solution “of the rack” and the courage to use new and unconventional ideas the smartGAS customers get perfect solutions for their measurement tasks.
